In the musical manuscripts of the eighteenth century found in Wallonia, the most common types of dances are the minuets, the country dances, the allemandes, ...

The scores are all written for the violin. In these manuscripts, we find some country dances published in the famous contemporary collections of

     - Pierre LANDRIN
     - Robert DAUBAT alias D'AUBAT-St FLOUR
     - Pierre TRAPPENIERS
     - John WALSH

Additionaly, the authors include music sheets of tunes popular in their period, such as opera excerpts.
